Last week ended well as I got to run a pilot activity from my EDEP with the 2nd graders in Fossil Camp. I thought it went very well, and I think it will be even better for the 3rd to 5th graders that the EDEP is designed for. The activity ended with us going outside and measuring out how big Megalodon was, and the campers were definitely in disbelief when they tried to imagine a 60 foot shark.
As for this week, I was scheduled to be in the office working on my project for Mon and Tues, but someone was out Monday so I helped teach the What's for Lunch? camp. I helped with the 3rd-4th graders. Today (Tuesday), I was able to work on my project. I am almost done with my second week out of four. I am scheduled to help teach camp for the rest of the week.
As we get to the end of the internship, I am not sure whether I will be able to finish my project or not. I should be able to get a good chunk done because I am currently behind on hours, so I will be working extra this weekend and the Thursday and Friday after our class ends. I hope to at least get close to finishing it, so I can feel accomplished and not have to leave too much up to whoever takes it over.
sounds like you've been really busy at the museum & if you don't finish your project, it sounds like you'll have most of it finished. so, whoever takes it over shouldn't have too much trouble finishing it up.
ReplyDeleteI know the feeling with being behind in the project. My problem was that I took on waaaaay too much this summer, 9 credits of classes and 35 hrs/wk...I wouldn't recommend it. Finish strong!
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Great job on sticking it out till the end! I have faith you can complete your project. Keep goin' Max, you can do it!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you've been really busy, and I too will be putting in extra time into my project this next week, I'm sure you'll finish everything just fine (: enjoy the rest of your week don't work too hard.
